The Albertina possesses the largest collection of graphics in the world – 60.000 drawings and 1 million printed matters – and a large gathering of photography and architecture as well. After the reconstruction it has been evolved into a modern exhibition area. The palace was built in 1781 next to the Hofburg, and possesses Habsburger state chambers that are now accessible, named after long forgotten noblemen like arch duchess Marie Christine or duke Albert von Sachsen-Teschen.
