this is illustrated on the Vienna Transport Authority’s terrain
Erdberg. You can also take a ride in one of the historic tramcars. More

Synagogue
I., Seitenstettengasse 2-4
This synagogue was completed in 1826 and is the oldest and largest in
Vienna. At the same time it is the only one to survive the terror begun
in 1938 against the Jewish population.

Even the building itself (formerly Driedrichstein, now Lobkowitz) is
theatrical: one enters through a grand baroque portal. Here one can look
at a sizeable collection dealing with Viennese theatre-life: scale
models, costumes, stage property, drawings…
Volksgarten

This park, enclosed by high iron fencing, originated in 1819 and was
Vienna’s first public park. The café-restaurant Meierei with
its beautiful garden is immensely popular. Dances are held here in the
evenings.

This former imperial menagerie with its buildings in rococo style was
metamorphosed into a modern Zoo with more than 4,500 animals.
