Money Matters

Since January the 1st 2002 the official currency of Austria is the EURO (€)..

Most banks open Monday-Friday 8am-3pm (some till 5pm). Many exchange offices in central locations in the city are open until late at night, for instance those in Kärntner Strasse, at the Westbahnhof, the Südbahnhof and on Schwechat Airport.
